Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Quinta, nestled conveniently 4 km from downtown, I aimed to experience the delicate balance of luxury versus value. The modern minimalist design of the room was pleasant enough, providing a comfortable bed and an expansive bathroom-ideal for unwinding after a long day of exploration. The staff were notably helpful, particularly during breakfast, which offered a decent selection, though you must order the night before, a slight inconvenience for spontaneous travelers. On a sunny morning, enjoying a latte by the reflecting pool was the perfect start to the day, and the well-maintained grounds enhanced that experience. It's essential to consider the hotel's limitations. The lack of an on-site restaurant means you might need to venture into town for meals, which could deter some guests. My room, unfortunately, faced a wall and had an issue with a moldy fridge upon arrival, though it was promptly addressed by the accommodating staff. In terms of financial savvy, this place suits a short stay, particularly if you're visiting the nearby Alhambra but keep in mind what you're giving up in amenities. You may find better complements to your hiking itinerary elsewhere, unless prime location is your primary goal.
